About Our Camps
Skills Ontario Summer Camp is a week-long day program for kids entering grades 7-9. The program runs in various locations across the province during the months of July and August, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Through hands-on activities relevant to the skilled trades, campers develop communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Registration fees are $250+tax per camper, and can be completed by selecting the 'register' button below next to each camp in the chart below.
Campers take part in hands-on workshops led by Skills Ontario counselors and industry/college professionals that introduce them to a variety of topics in the industrial, construction, motive power, service, and technology sectors; they explore careers in skilled trades through interactive games, industry tours and entrepreneurship programs. The camps are facilitated in partnership with colleges, industries and community volunteers who are committed to giving the campers an outstanding hands-on experience. Note that schedules vary per location based on available volunteers and programming.
Camps reaching out to youth identifying as First Nation, Métis, and Inuit are also available at some locations. For more information, please email campmanager@skillsontario.com, and feel free to visit our FNMI Initiatives page! Through our First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) Initiatives, we do our best to ensure that our programs are led by and inclusive of Indigenous peoples. As we connect youth to Indigenous community members, we develop and deliver programs with this as our top priority. Skills Ontario is dedicated to respecting Indigenous culture; we try to employ FNMI peoples in positions relating to FNMI youth where possible and consult with local First Nations communities when we run events in their area, seeking mentors, elders, and youth to participate. If you have any feedback regarding Skills Ontario’s representation of FNMI culture, please contact massiniwai@skillsontario.com.
Please stay tuned for details on the 2024 Summer Camp season. If you have any questions regarding the Skills Ontario Summer Camp program, email campmanager@skillsontario.com.
