Skills Ontario Competition Qualifying Competitions

The 2022 Qualifying Competitions will be tentatively held in person for contests on April 2, 2022, subject to change depending on health and safety guidelines issued by the Government of Ontario.

Due to the popularity of four of our contests at the Skills Ontario Competition, Skills Ontario holds Qualifying Competitions in these categories to ensure that the most prepared and skilled students ultimately compete at the big Skills Ontario Competition. Secondary School competitors in the following four contests must first compete at a Qualifying Competition:

Carpentry Individual
Culinary Arts
TV & Video Production - Team of 2
Welding

Qualifying Competitions are held at seven colleges across Ontario. Please review the Competition Information Package to find out which college you are required to compete at and review the location-specific documents and FAQ HERE.
