Julia Falvo is the 2017 Alumni Award recipient!

Julia accomplished her achievements through her personal efforts, determination, sacrifice of time, and just for the love of hair. She surrounded herself with successful people, mentors and trainers. During her time spent working at Valvano Salon, she had the opportunity to train alongside some of the best in the stylist industry.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, over 300 Skills Ontario Competition competitors and volunteers, joined by the Holmes Group, will hammer a nail into wood simultaneously.

Skills Ontario is proud to announce a partnership with Job Talks to facilitate a series of videos to promote careers in the skilled trades and technologies.

Deb Matthews, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development, was joined by Daiene Vernile, MPP for Kitchener Centre, and Kathryn McGarry, MPP for Cambridge, at Conestoga’s Waterloo campus on April 18 to announce a provincial investment of more than $14 million in pre-apprenticeship training. The funding will provide opportunities for people across the province to access free training in preparation for skilled trades careers.
