About Our Camps

The Skills Ontario Trades & Tech Summer Camps provide participants with the opportunity to explore careers in the skilled trade and technology fields in a hands-on camp setting! Our camps allow youth throughout the province of Ontario to gain access to information on career pathways and opportunities, and practice essential skills needed to enter the skilled workforce.

Our summer camps are held in different regions of the province each week, throughout July and August each year. At each camp location, Skills Ontario works closely with our camp hosts and other local organizations to provide our participants with an exceptional camp experience. Our camps focus on exploring the skilled trades & technologies careers, which includes the construction, industrial, motive power, service, and technology sectors.

Our summer camps are intended for participants entering Grades 7-9 the following school year.

Each camp session runs Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.

What To Expect - Activities & More

Our camps provide an opportunity for participants to explore skilled trade and technology careers in a fun, hands-on environment. The scope of our camps includes the construction, industrial, motive power, service, and technology sectors. For more information on the careers included in these five sectors, check out the resources below.

Each week of camp typically includes a combination of hands-on workshops, activities, and games. Some camps may also include a campus or industry tour, guest speaker(s), or other special events. Specific careers/topics covered at each location will differ based on the specialties of our camp hosts, local partners, and the resources available in each community/region. See the activity descriptions and sample schedules below for more information.

Camp agendas outlining workshops and other activities for each camp session will be posted on the individual Eventbrite pages as they become available. All agendas will be posted a minimum of seven days before the event's start date.
