Skills Ontario’s Cardboard Boat Race Championships saw 57 teams face off over the span of two days at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Sponsored by 3M and Norampac Cascades, Skills Ontario Cardboard Boat Races connect education, hands-on experience, and employability skills.
Twenty-four teams competed in the Secondary races on March 1, showcasing design, planning, and extensive teamwork.

Then, on March 2, 33 Elementary teams arrived for the second day of the championship to build, create, and collaborate. This year’s elementary teams showcased tremendous team spirit and boat decorations.
