Sheridan College is one of Canada’s leading postsecondary institutions, serving over 23,000 full time students at several campuses in the western Greater Toronto Area. We offer over 130 diploma, certificate, apprenticeship and bachelor degree programs in the fields of arts, business, community service, health, technology and the skilled trades. Sheridan’s faculty, staff, programs and students have garnered many provincially and nationally-acknowledged successes, including skills competitions, research grants, awards and nominations, and our alumni include a long list of nominees and winners of national and international Awards.
Skilled trades and apprenticeship programs have been a mainstay of Sheridan for decades, and as of September, 2017, they will be delivered in a brand new, purpose-built facility at the Davis Campus in Brampton. The Skilled Trades Centre (STC) is a 130,000 sq. ft. building featuring 52,000 square feet of workshops and lab space, learning commons and 20 classrooms.
Dedicated workshops for plumbing, electrical, machining, tooling, millwright, welding and construction skills, are located on the main floor of STC, adjacent to Sheridan’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies (CAMDT). These facilities create opportunities for multi-disciplinary collaboration and innovation, pathways between credentials, and shared learning experiences between students in skilled trades, engineering technologies, architectural technology, craft and design, furniture making and our communities.
