Waterloo, Ontario – The 2016 Team Ontario is the largest brigade of skilled students from the province to attend the national competition to date; 68 competitors and 45 teachers and parents make up the 2016 team. To be eligible for a spot on Team Ontario, the students, who come from both high school and colleges, had to qualify at the Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC) earlier this month.
This year is especially exciting, as it is a qualifying year for the 2017 WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Those who qualify this year, will have over a year to prepare for the prestigious international competition in October 2017.
