✨ Celebrate, Connect, and Get Inspired! ✨

Join us for a high-energy Celebration Event designed to spark curiosity and confidence in women exploring careers in the skilled trades and technologies. Through interactive, hands-on activities, participants will connect with incredible skilled trades ambassadors and discover the wide range of career pathways available.

This event also brings together female skilled trades professionals—apprentices and certified tradeswomen alike—to network, share experiences, and connect with exhibitors who promote skilled trades careers and provide valuable resources and supports.

Parents, guardians, and daughters are welcome too! Influencers will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, ask questions, and learn more about the opportunities and supports available in the skilled trades.

The formal program will feature an inspiring keynote, a meaningful presentation on mental health, and—of course—great food to enjoy along the way.

✨ Come celebrate women in trades, build connections, and be inspired by what’s possible.

This Celebration Event is designed especially for young women in Grades 10–12 who are curious about careers in the skilled trades and technologies. Through engaging, hands-on activities, students will learn about a wide range of career pathways and connect with inspiring skilled trades ambassadors.

Participants will have the opportunity to network with a variety of exhibitors—including businesses, unions, and community supporters—and hear directly from female skilled trades professionals. A dedicated Q&A session will allow students to ask questions, gain real-world insights, and learn what it’s really like to work in the trades.

The day will also include a meaningful mental health presentation and the chance for students to take part in two interactive, hands-on workshops, rotating through sessions throughout the afternoon.

In this pre-recorded virtual workshop, participants will learn how to bring stories and ideas to life through simple character animation using Google Slides. The session introduces step-by-step techniques for creating movement, adding dialogue, and designing original characters with basic shapes. Learners will also explore how animation can be used to imagine future careers—such as eco-friendly construction specialists, farm-to-table culinary innovators, or green energy electricians—by showcasing a “day in the life” through animated storytelling.

 “A Sit Down with…”

Available On-Demand: Monday, March 2, 2026

Free to attend. Registration required.

Target Audience: Grades 9-12

We are excited to offer a virtual speaker series designed to connect young women with passionate and experienced tradeswomen from across the skilled trades and technology sectors. This series provides a unique opportunity to sit down—virtually—for candid, one-on-one conversations that highlight real journeys, real challenges, and real successes in the industry.

Each session will introduce participants to a specific skilled trade and/or technology career, offering insight into what the work involves, how to get started, and the many pathways available. Speakers will share their personal experiences and discuss why it is so important to encourage and support young women in considering careers in the skilled trades.

Beyond career exploration, these conversations will also focus on empowerment and advocacy. Participants will learn how to be strong allies for women in the trades, how to challenge stereotypes, and how to help create more inclusive and supportive workplaces.

✨ This virtual series is an inspiring, accessible way for young women to explore career possibilities, ask questions, and learn directly from women who are shaping the future of the skilled trades.
