Tools for Schools

Skills Ontario, in partnership with HIEC/Apprenticesearch.com, is proud to offer the “Tools to Schools” initiative, which aims to provide schools across Ontario with donated tools and supplies to enhance their skills and technology classrooms. By partnering with manufacturers and suppliers of tools, we are working to ensure that students have access to the resources they need to build practical skills and thrive in the skilled trades.

We invite businesses, manufacturers, and individuals to support this impactful program by donating tools, equipment, materials, or financial contributions.

How Your Donation Helps

Your donation will provide tools and materials to schools that offer programs in trades such as construction, electrical, welding, automotive, and more. These tools will be used by students in hands-on learning environments, preparing them for successful careers in the trades and technologies.

What We Need:

Tools: Power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment for trades programs (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, etc.).

Materials: Supplies such as wood, metal, electrical wiring, safety gear, and other consumables used in trade education.

How You Can Donate

Donating to the “Tools to Schools” program is simple. If your company manufactures or has surplus tools that could benefit students, we encourage you to donate them to our program. Tools will be distributed to schools based on their specific program needs.

By donating, you’ll not only contribute to the education of future skilled workers, but also gain recognition for your support on Skills Ontario’s website and social media channels.

Impact of Your Donation

Donating to the “Tools to Schools” program doesn’t just provide tools; it provides the foundation for the future of skilled trades in Ontario. By supporting hands-on learning experiences, you are helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.

Through this initiative, we’ve already been able to provide tools to a select number of schools with the help of partners like Hilti. This year, we are expanding our efforts to reach even more schools and make a lasting impact on students’ futures.
